Our Story
From an early age, I was inspired by the artistry and craftsmanship of both my grandmother and mother. I learned how to sew, crochet, and craft. These traditions shaped my appreciation for creativity and the beauty of handmade things. As a youngster, I would make and leave handmade "Welcome Home" cards and posters on the dining room table to greet my father on his many out of town trips. I made and sold my first crocheted handbag, when I was 12 years old. The first pair of painter's pants I made in Home Economics at Miami Carol City Senior High School. Later in life, during my time as a Junior group leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop, I taught the girls what I learned - how to crochet and sew. Working with the troop, helped me rediscover my passion for crafting. This rekindled love for creating led to the birth of GHlayerion Designs. Look closely at the business name itself and you will find my parents' names inside of it - Henry and Gloria. It is a small, quiet tribute to the legacy they left and the foundation they laid for my creative journey.

How We Operate
At GHlayerion Designs, we believe in quality over quantity. Our process is thoughtful and intentional, which is why our items are made to order. Most of our creations are handcrafted from start to finish, with a focus on bringing you products that are both functional and beautiful. Please note that, depending on the complexity of your order, manufacturing and shipping can take between 5 to 15 business days. We encourage you to plan accordingly, as we want every piece to meet your expectations and reach you in time for that special occasion.

I’m Anita, the heart and soul of GHlayerion Designs. Born in vibrant and culturally rich Brooklyn, New York in the 1960s, I was fortunate enough to experience the diversity and creativity that IS New York. As a small business owner, I take pride in every detail of my work, and I’m involved in designing and crafting every item we sell.
